The archives for that period of the OML were destroyed by Shawn
Wilber at DeMeos' request. I have posted the version on the Keelynet website
to the list, but that version has been edited to remove the references
to DeMeos' friend and co-worker, Dr. Stephen Nagy, because he threartened
to sue Keelynet if his name was used. Part of the reference to John and
Kathy
Schlineing was also removed. They were involved in a project to reduce
the amount of lightning in the forests of Oregon to prevent forest fires.
Fires are a natural part of the forest ecology there and preventing them
cause all sorts of troubles. Also, lightning is needed by some kinds of
plants and preventing it prevents them from growing no matter how much
rain they may
get.
