In response to the message sent to this list recently by Dr. James DeMeo, I would like to point out that, as the following article shows, the atmospheric dust from desert areas is not just a problem, or at best, an indication of a problem, as Dr. DeMeo seems to think, but an integral part of the global ecosystem, and serves an important role in maintaining life on this planet. The Reich cloudbuster could be frightfully misused to intervene in this vital process, by wetting down desert areas, for example, which would result in an unimaginable catastrophe for oceanic life. This is a good example of why a very wide range of factors must be taken into account for cloudbusting to be done responsibly.
